• Terra Nova National Park spans 400 square kilometers of eastern Newfoundland.
• It has a Visitor Centre in the Newman Sound area, which features a marine touch tank, aquariums, and a wharf where you can spot ocean wildlife like seals and whales.
• Terra Nova National Park is home to diverse species, including moose, black bears, lynx, the rare Newfoundland marten, and abundant ospreys.
• It is a prime spot for sea kayaking, where you might see dolphins, orcas, and whales swimming alongside large, floating icebergs.
• Ten hiking trails range from kid and wheelchair-friendly nature strolls to challenging treks. 
• Canoe, swim, or kayak among rugged shorelines. In winter, strap on snowshoes or cross-country skis for a backcountry experience. 
• Terra Nova National Park is Canada’s most easterly national park. 
• It was designated as a Dark Sky Preserve in February 2018 by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. As part of the Dark Sky Preserve Program, Terra Nova is committed to protecting the nighttime environment and reducing energy consumption.
• Terra Nova National Park is characteristic of the Newfoundland landscape of low relief and rounded hills, and a rocky coastline with sea arches, and caves, as well as habitat for a variety of wildlife, including the Newfoundland pine marten.
