Thoughts From a "Lost Canadian" About the Canada Strong Pass

This "Lost Canadian" has been SO impressed as I learned about the land of Canada and all of their incredible National Parks, so when I learned how Canada has made the choice to throw open their "doors" to parks and so many more places to the people of Canada, it left me extremely impressed!

• Many public libraries let you borrow passes to museums, zoos, art galleries, science centers, and even provincial parks—for free! Some libraries even offer tickets to performances and local attractions.
• Many Ontario libraries lend out day-use passes which cover admission for everyone in your vehicle to over 100 provincial parks. Great for hiking, beaches, and family outings.
• New permanent residents (within 5 years) and new citizens (within 1 year) can get free or discounted admission to 2,000+ museums, parks, historic sites, and cultural attractions across Canada.
• Most provinces offer several license-free fishing weekends each year, allowing residents and visitors to fish without purchasing a fishing license (while following local regulations).
• Canada provides free and discounted admission through the Canada Strong Pass program, which runs from June 19 to September 7, 2026. It covers national parks, museums, and rail travel for residents and visitors with no registration required.
